Job Description - IT Apprentice - 1st Line Support Technician

Job Description and Requirements

 

An exciting opportunity for a new 1st Line IT Technician Apprentice to join our growing international business working within the IT department as a valued team member.

This is a great role to discover and progress your IT skills with exposure to new technologies and a great platform to learn from. This will be a 1-year fixed term contract while completing your Level 3 Infrastructure Technician qualification 

 

The role requires the following, training will be provided:

 

  • Provide 1st line user support and logging, using IT Service Management tool
  • New build, rebuild workstation rollout
  • Account management and administration
  • Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity 
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues to resolve IT related issues

 

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Be proactive in their duties
  • Demonstrate IT related problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience across a range of up-to-date technologies including:
    • Desktop/laptop/printer hardware
    • Microsoft Office
    • Windows 10 &11
  • Be able to support with occasional out of hours support

Based out of our Crick office close to J18 M1, (close to Rugby, Coventry, Northampton and Leicester) with the option of one day per week hybrid working from home.
