IT Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical IT Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders, stakeholders, and technology teams to assess organisational requirements, identify business and operational challenges, analyse data and processes, and develop effective, technology-driven solutions.

The role will involve evaluating business functions, objectives, policies, procedures, systems, and processes, while identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting the successful implementation of recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Conduct business and systems analysis to understand organisational objectives, requirements, processes, and challenges.

- Analyse existing and future business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and automation.

- Support the analysis and ongoing management of IT systems, networks, and security requirements.

- Maintain and monitor the quality, performance, and effectiveness of IT services and products.

- Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders.

- Develop and maintain detailed business and system documentation, including requirements specifications, process flows, wireframes, business rules, and data migration requirements.

- Support systems design and implementation activities.

- Assist with data migration, system integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and other testing activities.

- Develop training materials, user guides, and supporting documentation to improve adoption and streamline business processes.

- Analyse information and data to provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to management and business stakeholders.

- Report findings, project progress, risks, and recommendations to business leaders and relevant stakeholders.

- Work with senior executives and middle management to understand current requirements, future business needs, and organisational growth objectives.

- Support the identification, evaluation, and implementation of solutions to technical and operational challenges.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across business and IT functions.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

* Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Business Administration/ Information Technology or a related discipline.

* Minimum three (3) years experience working as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, or in a closely related role.

* Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

* Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.

* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

* Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and negotiate practical solutions to technical and business challenges.

* Strong organisational and time-management skills.

* Ability to prepare clear, professional, and comprehensive technical and business documentation.

* Good understanding of software development, system design, testing, and implementation processes.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant business and IT applications.

Desirable

* Experience working closely with technology and software development teams.

* Previous experience in a Business Analyst or Product Owner capacity.

* Practical knowledge of SQL, ERP, XML and CRM systems.

* Experience with data migration, enterprise architecture, integration technologies, single sign-on (SSO), and master data management.

* Experience with wireframing, business rules, process mapping, and systems documentation.

* Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integration testing, and software testing methodologies.

* Experience working within project management frameworks or Agile environments.

* A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience in IT security, network analysis, or IT service management
