IT Desktop Support – Job opportunity
Location: West Midlands - Onsite
Salary: £25k - £32k (flex depending on experience) plus benefits

Our client, who is a specialist IT Service provider working with clients in the West Midlands region is looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support person to join the team. This role will attend various customer sites across the West Midlands region (Walsall, Wolverhampton and Birmingham) providing high levels of customer support and working within agreed service levels.


IT Desktop Support - role

• Installation and preparation of new IT Hardware & Infrastructure.
• Management of call queue.
• Maintain asset register.
• Working at 2nd/3rd line capability with escalation and collaboration with 3rd line team where necessary.
• Perform software rebuilds of laptops and PC’s where needed.
• Working with the Microsoft suite of products including MS Teams.

IT Desktop Support – experience

• A customer first approach.
• Good knowledge of Windows 10/11.
• Knowledge of Apple products, such as IPads.
• Some server experience – 2016 & 2019.
• Problem solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Some knowledge of Microsoft Intune.
• Great communication skills – written and verbal.
• Eagerness to learn and grow the business.
• Previous experience of working in an educational setting would be ideal but not essential

The IT Desktop Support role will require a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel to client sites across the West Midlands region – Walsall, Birmingham, Wolverhampton.

**Please note, an enhanced DBS check will also be required for this role – our client will manage the process on this for the successful person**
