We are looking for an experienced and dependable 2nd line Field IT Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is your chance to be a part of an organisation that values professional development and encourages innovation.
As a Field IT Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems and infrastructure across 19 schools and our Head Office. You will work closely with the IT department to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain IT equipment and systems. You will be based at one of our schools in Tunbridge Wells but you will be required to travel across different schools where necessary.
As a representative, you will be confident to converse with school staff to assist them with their IT queries and requirements.

Location: Tunbridge Wells - Kent
As a Field IT Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems, including computers, printers, and networking equipment.
Provide technical support to resolve hardware and software issues.
Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure the reliability and security of IT systems.
Implement network infrastructure improvements and upgrades.
Visiting schools ensuring that their IT systems are running smoothly and troubleshooting any issues.

What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone who has:
A bachelors degree [from a recognised UK university] in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (desirable).
Proven experience as an IT technician or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
Familiarity with networking principles and troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
The ability to work as part of a team.
A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Additional Information
This position will require travel between school campuses across the country. Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate IT-related emergencies or maintenance.
