IT & General Manager required for a manufacturer based in Watford. This is for a smaller company so would be a versatile role not only working with IT but also HR, Marketing, Customer Service, etc.

IT & General Manager Position Overview

• Endpoint Security eg SentinelOne
• WindowsServers (Windows Server 2016,2019, 2022, Exchange Server 2016, SQL Server)
• Hyper V
• Server hardening for all of above
• Sonicwall firewalls
• Network security, VLANs, switching, routing
• Telecoms (phone providers, ISPs etc.)
• Linux (limited)
• Disaster recovery/archiving/backups
• Finance
• HR
• Marketing
• Operational Cost Control
• Internal Sales Administration
• Customer Service
• Facilities
• H&S

o H&S processes in line with regulations

o Standard of facilities reflects engineering environment

• Regulatory compliance & certification

o All compliance work kept current

• Logistics

o Efficient & cost-effective logistical performance according to customer demands

• Warehouse & Production Operations

o Communicating customer driven priorities to warehouse and production supervisors

IT & General Manager Position Requirements

• Excellent IT skills (L3 +)
• Good maths and arithmetic
• Excellent English language
• Experience of managing other people
• Hands on self-starter with can do attitude
• Good commercial thinking and numerical skills
• All relevant technical skills / knowledge
• Good analytical skills
• High level Excel (Pivot tables etc.)
• SQL database querying
• Excellent record keeping and structured network filing

IT & General Manager Position Remuneration

Salary dependent on experience 30k- 60k
