Location: Knutsford
Pay Rate: £14.90 per hour
Contract: Temporary / Temp-to-Perm
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working Hours: Flexible between 8:00am and 5:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an IT Helpdesk Technician to join our client's team based in Knutsford. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional looking for a temporary role with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Working on-site, you will provide internal IT support across the business, ensuring colleagues receive efficient and effective technical assistance to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing first-line IT support to internal users across the company
Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
Logging, monitoring, and updating support tickets
Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT hardware and software
Supporting users with system access, passwords, and general IT queries
Escalating more complex technical issues where appropriate
Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Assisting with ongoing IT projects and system improvements

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience within an IT Helpdesk, Service Desk, or Technical Support role
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
Experience using IT ticketing systems
An understanding of systems such as Dot Matrix would be advantageous
A proactive approach and willingness to learn new skills
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
