Job Description - IT Incident Manager

DP World are recruiting for a skilled

IT Incident Manager

for a Hybrid position based from our operation in

Hinckley . This role would focus on the effective management and resolution of major incidents, minimizing the impact on business operations, oversee the change management process, and handle problem management within the IT department.

About the role:
Responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of major incidents, from identification and diagnosis through to resolution and post-incident review.
Facilitate and oversee change management processes, ensuring that all changes are assessed, approved, implemented, and reviewed in a controlled manner. Additionally, the role involves identifying, logging, and managing problems, working proactively to prevent incidents from happening, and minimising the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented.
Collaborate closely with various IT teams and stakeholders to ensure that IT service management processes are aligned with business needs and industry best practices.
Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of incident, change, and problem management.
Responsible for continuously reviewing and improving incident, change, and problem management processes. This includes ensuring that these processes are in line with best practices (like ITIL frameworks) and business requirements, and that they comply with relevant policies and regulations.
Developing and refining ITSM processes, contributing to the overall resilience and efficiency of IT services.

Your Key Skills:
Strong focus on process efficiency, risk management, and service quality
Adept at analysing complex situations, identifying root causes of problems, and implementing effective solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in IT related study OR 5+ Years IT experience with certifications in IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL (highly desireable)
Global complex business exposure
Experience in IT service management, with a proven track record in incident management, change management, and problem management.
In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux, Windows Server environments, networking, and power systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and the ability to work under pressure and handle crisis situations effectively
