IT Infrastructure Analyst
Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 + bonus + benefits
Reporting to: IT Infrastructure Manager
Capstone have partnered with a leading international Storage Solutions provider, who are looking for an ambitious and highly diligent IT Infrastructure Analyst to join their dynamic team. The main purpose of the role is to optimise and improve their systems and infrastructure through maintenance and support. The role supports the IT team in delivering excellent 2nd and 3rd line support to over 600 users across 170 stores and Head Offices in the UK and Europe. This is based in our North London Head Office with some possible European travel.
Key Accountabilities
Systems maintenance
- Implements and maintains all software and hardware deployed in stores and head office in order that all systems run smoothly and efficiently. Aspects of our IT infrastructure include:Multiple Servers across multiple locations
Nutanix VM cluster of Microsoft Servers
O365 Hybrid Microsoft Exchange with Mimecast
Cisco & Meraki networking
MPLS network
Centralised Patch Management across desktops and servers
Helpdesk support
- Provides 2nd and 3rd line support for problems arising from the use of the IT infrastructure in over 170 stores, and Head Offices in the UK and Europe which can’t be resolved by our Business Support Team.
Policies and procedures
- Contributes to group policies by providing guidance in relation to IT infrastructure ensuring that compliance is achieved.
Project work
- Co-design, Implementation, and assistance in I.T.

Required Experience & Certification
Windows 10/11 installation, deployment, administration, and 2nd / 3rd line support
Windows 2022/2019/2016/2012 server administration and 2nd / 3rd line support
Virtual machine management
Router & Firewall configuration and administration
Networking TCP\IP troubleshooting
DHCP\DNS troubleshooting
Active directory & Group Policy administration
Exchange Hybrid & Office 365 administration and 2nd / 3rd line support
Installation and configuration of Servers, PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals
General hardware and software troubleshooting
Experience of 1st and 2nd line customer facing technical support

Suitable candidates must have 3rd line support experience in a Microsoft/Cisco based infrastructure and experience of customer facing technical support.
