He heads up a thriving team of sixteen in IT across infrastructure, dev, data and more and needs a new Systems Manager to look after 150 users, one direct report and their entire IT estate.

This is a role where you can step up, train and grow as or into a people manager. You’re probably a hands-on Senior Systems Engineer right now but you love mentoring your colleagues and are always there to help out. You know your future is leading people but you’re not getting the opportunity to do that properly yet and feel ready to start learning.

You might also be and experienced IT Manager who is ready for a new challenge, wants to improve a new estate and mentor a new team.

Either way, you love tech, enjoy the challenge of a mixed infrastructure and the variety of BAU as well as project work. You’ve got ideas, know how to improve processes, automate tasks and are craving an environment where you can make changes and improvements.

We’re looking for a strong Senior Infrastructure Engineer with experience across the MS estate. On-prem, Cloud, desktop, server and Dev/production environments.

You’ll get stuck into everything, hands-on 1st-3rd line support, mentoring a direct report 1st Line engineer, the environment is predominantly Windows with some Linux (Linux skills aren't essential but an interest in learning is), Hypervisors (HyperV / Xen), O365, Azure, VOIP and more.

Lots of the windows infrastructure has been improved and there is budget to do more with a full, phased technology refresh in the works, upgrade projects, Google Workspace to Microsoft Migration, new photocopiers and lots to consolidate and improve.

We’ll pay you £42k - £47k depending on your experience, plus 11% pension, 25 days holiday, life assurance, flexible hybrid working (3 in, 2 from home), 37 hour week, career progression and more.
