An IT Project Manager is required for our client based in Manchester. The successful candidate will deliver multiple IT projects across the organisation, ensuring systems and services meet the needs. You will work closely with internal teams and third parties to implement new or improved IT solutions.

Responsibilities

Manage complex IT projects with multiple technical and business workstreams.

Deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with business cases.

Create and maintain project documentation (plans, initiation docs, board papers).

Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.

Conduct structured tenders in line with the Procurement Act 2023.

Build and manage positive relationships with third-party suppliers.

You will not be expected to line manage immediately, though it may be required over time where you will support and develop team members.

Essential Skills

Experience IT Project Manager

Proven experience managing medium to large-scale IT projects (£1m+), ideally using Prince2 or similar.

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of current technologies.

Can deliver projects effectively- You’ll need to deliver projects on time and to budget and make sure they deliver benefits and make sure people are ready for the changes

Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to influence, adapt, and deliver customer-focused solutions.

Resilience, creativity, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Desirable

Leadership experience, including team development, performance management, and inclusive practices.
