VIQU have partnered with a leading company in the energy sector who are growing at a rapid rate, and so seeking a project manager to oversee and deliver their technical (Cyber, Systems, Digital) projects. The role will involve working cross functionally in both an agile and waterfall fashions. The project manager will take end to end ownership of projects, ensuring bid, formation of the team, and successful delivery to scope/budget. This is a senior opportunity within the company, involving management of resources, teams, and risks.

The ideal candidate will have a background in managing IT projects, using agile and waterfall methodologies, have experience co ordinating with both internal and external (customers) stakeholders, and be able to lead technical teams.

There will be some UK wide travel required on the occasion, however the role is centered in the Staffordshire office with a hybrid working arrangement.

Job Description for the IT Project Manager:

• Efficiently deliver technical projects to time, specification, budget and customer satisfaction using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Create and maintain delivery plans for multiple concurrent projects.
• Engage with Service Delivery Managers and wider teams to acquire and release resources as required
• Successfully manage changes to scope and timescales ensuring variations are agreed with the client and then changing plans and budgets accordingly.
• Produce project documentation.
• Assist in securing future business by cultivating customer expectations through excellent project delivery.

Requirements for the IT Project Manager:

• Previous experience managing technical projects (cyber, digital, IT systems).
• Experience in managing projects using Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies
• Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Must have demonstrable track record of achieving project timescales, margins, customer satisfaction and quality
• Must demonstrate strong leadership, with experience of leading technical teams
• Current driving license and must be prepared to travel, with very occasional nights away at customer sites.
• Project management certifications.
