IT Risk Manager

We are currently working with an established financial services provider in Brighton that is recruiting for an IT Risk Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a vital role for the business, working closely with the ITteamto ensure the companys operational risk management framework is fully embedded.

The successful IT Risk Manager will have the following responsibilities:

Supporting senior management within IT across risk and controls
Working closely with technical teams on the development and implementation of test controls in order to reduce risk, ensuring proper documentation at each step
Contributing to developing and amending IT risk policies and procedures
Effectively evaluating the existing IT controls and risk strategies
Assessing risk on IT projects, systems and third party suppliers
Evaluating the effectiveness of issues management within IT
Carrying out MI reporting to be presented to senior management and the risk committee
Tracking and managing any new risks the business faces
Identifying ways to reduce risk of major incidents or breaches

The ideal candidate for the IT Risk Manager role will have the following skills and experience:

5+ years in IT Risk Management roles
Experience working within financial services or similarly regulated environments
Demonstrable ability to analyse and manage risk
Excellent knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies, e.g. ISO27001, NIST, COBIT
The ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive high performing teams
