IT ServiceNow Green Developer

We are looking for a motivated ServiceNow Green Developer to join our ITSM/ServiceNow team. The candidate will work on configuring, developing, testing, and supporting ServiceNow applications and workflows under the guidance of senior developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and customize ServiceNow applications based on business requirements.


• Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes and other platform components.


• Work with JavaScript and Glide APIs, including GlideRecord and GlideSystem.


• Configure Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge and Service Catalog modules.


• Build basic workflows and automations using Flow Designer.


• Create and maintain Service Catalog items, variables, approvals and notifications.


• Work with CMDB and understand CI relationships and data quality.


• Support REST/SOAP integrations and troubleshoot integration issues.


• Perform unit testing, debugging and defect resolution.


• Follow ServiceNow development standards, security/ACL practices and release processes.


• Maintain technical documentation and participate in code reviews.


• Support production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of ServiceNow platform and ITSM concepts.


• Good knowledge of JavaScript.


• Understanding of ServiceNow scripting and Glide APIs.


• Knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change and Service Catalog.


• Familiarity with Flow Designer, ACLs, Update Sets and ServiceNow Studio.


• Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON and XML.


• Good analytical and communication skills.


• Willingness to learn new ServiceNow releases and technologies.

Good to Have

• ServiceNow CSA certification.


• Exposure to CAD certification/coursework.


• Knowledge of CMDB, ITOM or IntegrationHub.


• Experience with ATF (Automated Test Framework).


• Basic knowledge of Git/CI-CD and Agile/Scrum.
