Job Description - IT Support Analyst - Onsite

The company is a Microsoft Solutions Partner and a Microsoft Tier 1 Cloud Solutions Provider IT Consultancy firm based in Scotland. They currently hold 5 out of 6 Microsoft Designations and 3 specialisations in Calling for Microsoft Teams, Cloud Security and Identity and Access Management.
They are currently looking to add an additional permanent Onsite Managed Services IT Analyst to their rapidly growing Managed Services team in Edinburgh on a full-time basis. From desktop support to server and cloud projects, the role promises varied and interesting exposure to a broad range of technologies, including Office 365 and Microsoft Azure.
This role will involve working as part of their Onsite Managed Services team within a financial services client. You will be fully supported not just by your onsite team but also by the wider Managed Services function within the company. You will be expected to work onsite up to 3 / 4 days per week, with the remainder working from home. This role will also involve travel to London once a quarter.

They are in search of someone capable of effectively managing their work queues. This involves conscientious ticket handling, ensuring regular updates, and including relevant data. They value a sense of ownership, encouraging individuals to lead initiatives that drive efficiency improvements and contribute to service enhancements.

The Role of an IT Support Analyst:
Resolving support requests directly from a specific managed service client, using existing skills and knowledge where appropriate and using relevant support and vendor resources to find resolution
Proactively reviewing automated alerts and responding as required through to resolution.
System administration, hands-on fixes, installation/upgrade and patching of Microsoft-based servers and desktops
Performing advanced troubleshooting, which may also include working together with Microsoft and other vendors
What They Are Looking For:
Minimum of 3 – 5 years of hands-on technical experience within a network or IT support role, preferably within Finance sector or MSP
Experience with Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, Networking troubleshooting skills (Cisco Meraki) including switch, Firewalls & Wi-Fi config
A solid understanding of Microsoft applications and toolsets, predominantly with Teams & Exchange
Working knowledge of Veeam and AWS
Versed in liaising with 3rd party suppliers within Finance/IT sectors and understanding of Finance IT
Ability to work in a team of varied experienced colleagues & work with client-side teams and management
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals, strong teamwork, and interpersonal skills
