First Military Recruitment is seeking an IT Support & Systems Technician on behalf of one of our clients.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day IT support across the business while maintaining and improving key systems, including the access platform and production-related IT infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day IT support across the company, ensuring smooth operation for all staff. Set up, configure, and maintain computers, devices, and production-related IT equipment. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently. Maintain a strong understanding of the Access platform and provide training to all departments, including senior management. Hold regular meetings with management teams to advise on best practices and future process improvements. Continuously optimise ERP workflows and update system data. Resolve issues relating to works orders, sales orders, and purchase orders. Update and maintain accurate Bills of Materials and support improvements to product data integrity. Analyse factory workflows and collaborate with teams to implement process improvements. Develop custom tools and scripts to automate tasks, enhance MRP functionality, and improve overall efficiency. Manage and work with backend SQL databases, including creating queries for dashboards and internal reporting. Liaise with external support partners to ensure timely resolution of technical issues. Meet with external software providers to assess potential systems, discuss technical requirements, and evaluate installation feasibility. Provide general IT support, including troubleshooting technical issues and assisting with network and connectivity problems. Set up and maintain IT equipment and manage user accounts and system access. Install and update software where required. Keep basic IT records and asset lists up to date. Skills and Qualifications:
Experience providing hands-on IT support in a business environment. Strong understanding of hardware, networking, and software troubleshooting. Experience with ERP systems, ideally Access. Ability to analyse and improve workflows and processes. Experience working with SQL databases. Ability to develop basic scripts or tools to automate tasks (any language). Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and support staff at all levels. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and liaise with external support providers. Location: Leominster
Salary: £26,500 Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
