Job Description - IT Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer - IT MSP
North London (Islington, N1) - 5 days a week onsite
£27K-£30K DOE + Travel Expenses + Gym Membership

A growing MSP & ISP based in Islington (N1) is looking for a personable and technically capable IT Support Engineer to join their small, friendly team. Supporting over 80 clients across London, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Level 1 experience who has started to move into Level 2 support and is ready to hit the ground running.

You'll be working closely with a team of 4 (including two technicians and the company founders) in a fully office-based role, representing the business face-to-face with clients and helping to deliver high-quality IT support and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a first point of contact for client support requests (Windows, macOS, networking).
  • Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Support onboarding/offboarding of users and devices, software updates, and hardware upgrades.
  • Assist with data centre and network operations (server installs, remote hands).
  • Perform basic security checks (antivirus, quarantined emails).
  • Provide on-site support to client offices across London when required
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support records.

Tech Stack You'll Work With:

  • Windows & macOS environments
  • Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive
  • Layer 2 networking
  • Managed firewalls, switches, DNS, gateways
  • Unifi, HP ProCurve/Aruba switches
  • GSuite, ABM, Adobe Suite (nice to have)

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in an MSP or ISP environment - preferred
  • Strong Level 1 support skills with some Level 2 exposure.
  • Confident communicator with a friendly, open, and honest approach.
  • Comfortable working face-to-face with clients and representing the company.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals and desktop support.
  • Organised, proactive, and eager to learn.
