Job Description - IT Support Engineer - 2nd/3rd Line
Tired of being stuck in a ticket queue?
You're ready to step up, take on more responsibility, and get the recognition you deserve.
You'll get variety by getting out from behind your desk; visiting customers, supporting projects, and solving problems that matter.
You’ll be your customers’ IT hero. You're happiest when you're hands-on, building relationships and seeing the difference your work makes.
One day you'll be supporting a Microsoft 365 or Azure migration. The next, you'll be on-site rolling out new infrastructure, untangling a networking issue, or advising a business owner on the right solution.
With a customer base built entirely from referrals and recommendations, you'll be supporting loyal local companies that value good service and long-term relationships.
You'll work directly with the business’s owners and alongside the Service Desk team, from their newly refurbished office - you're not a fan of remote working so that suits you perfectly anyway.
There will be the potential for funded IT qualifications, to help you in your role and to develop your career.
What you'll be doing
* Supporting IT projects, including Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations
* Visiting customer sites across Warwickshire to install, configure, and support IT systems
* Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, remotely and on-site
* Building long-term relationships with customers as their trusted IT expert
* Supporting the Service Desk with incidents and service requests
* Installing, maintaining, and repairing PCs, servers, and network equipment
What you'll need
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure
* Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
* Experience with Windows Server 2012–2019
* Solid understanding of networking — LAN, WAN, WLAN
* Familiarity with firewalls and VPNs
* A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle (mileage will be paid)
Why you'll want to stay
* Funded IT qualifications and ongoing development
* Westfield Health Wellbeing Scheme
* 21 days' annual leave
* Private parking
* Cycle to Work Scheme, with secure bike storage and on-site showers
* A gym just around the corner
* Swanky new and modern office
* A games room - yes, including air hockey!
