IT Support Technician Apprentice

Due to continued growth, Mhouse are looking for an experienced IT Technician to join the team. You will be working towards an SCQF Level 8 Diploma in IT Support.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure computer hardware components, including desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices
• Ensure optimal performance by updating firmware, drivers, and BIOS settings
• Conduct performance tests and troubleshoot hardware issues
• Implement proper cable management and organization for enhanced aesthetics and functionality
• Set up and configure operating systems, applications, and security software
• Perform thorough testing to ensure compatibility and stability across various platform
• Implement updates and patches to maintain software integrity and security
• Provide training and support for end-users to ensure effective use of software tools
• Diagnose and resolve IT issues for clients through remote access tools, minimising downtime and disruptions
• Provide step-by-step guidance to clients for resolving common technical problems
• Maintain detailed logs of troubleshooting activities and resolutions for future reference
• Perform accurate and efficient data entry tasks, including inputting, updating, and maintaining records in databases and systems
• Utilise data entry software and tools to streamline processes and increase productivity

Required skills:

• Solid computing knowledge and troubleshooting abilities
• Familiarity with hardware and software systems
• Excellent telephone manner and friendly demeanour
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills
• Interest in technology trends
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Salary:

£18,000 - £20,000 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
