IT Systems Engineer – Bracknell - £50,000 plus benefits

A global and rapidly growing business based in Bracknell are looking for a Systems Engineer to lead server and application engineering for the UK and EMEAI region.

Key focus areas for this Systems Engineer role will include:

Regional Server and Data Centre Management

• • Setup, monitor and maintain hardware including servers, UPS, storage, load balancers, etc.
  • Build, Manage, Patch and Decommission Servers and Services
  • Support hypervisor technology (VMware and HyperV)
  • Network and datacentre monitoring

Regional backup Solution Management

• • Tape, Disk and/or cloud based backup.
  • Design, setup, maintain, document, operate and monitor the backup and continuity solutions for the region.
  • Assess the backups by performing regular test restorations.

Regional and select Global Application support

• • Maintain both on-premises citrix and RDS environments
  • Administer on-premises regional SQL servers
  • Assist with Powershell scripting when required
  • Maintain our WSUS infrastructure

Exchange

• • Manage the Exchange Online solution
  • Manage on-premises exchange server (SMTP relay)
  • Be the first escalation point for all SD requests related to exchange

Administer Microsoft Active Directory and related services

• • DHCP/DNS
  • Certificate solution (MS CA server, cert enrollment, cert lifecycle management, etc.)
  • Maintain Sites and services
  • Analyze, setup, optimize GPO’s

The salary on offer for this role is up to £50,000 plus benefits including final salary pension scheme.  Contracted hours are 35 hours per week.
