IT Technical Architect - Mobile Apps

Job Description

Our client has an urgent requirement for a Technical Architect specialising in Mobile Applications, to join the team on a 3-6 month contract based in Watford.

About the Role:

The Technical Architect will be responsible for the following:

• Overseeing the technical design process for new projects or modifications to our cloud, web, and mobile applications.
• Ensuring designs comply with good data practices, regulatory standards, security frameworks, and relevant best practices.
• Identifying and documenting non-functional requirements, and making sure these are reviewed and integrated into technical designs.
• Developing and refining our technical standards and principles for cloud, web, and mobile applications by staying informed about emerging trends and collaborating with partners and internal technical teams.
• Coordinating IT technical team activities throughout the project or change lifecycle
• Participating in departmental change-request and IT design meetings to ensure sound technical designs and support plans that address risks.

About You:

To be successful in this role, the Technical Architect will have knowledge / skills in the following areas:

• Expertise in cloud (AWS), web, and

mobile application

technologies.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders at various levels (technical and non-technical) to understand their requirements and translating these needs into appropriate technical designs.
• Coordinating internal and external IT technical work streams necessary for the successful delivery of new cloud, web, and mobile projects or changes.
• Proficiency in single sign-on, identity and access management (IAM), and application role-based access.
• Playing a key role in IT strategy and planning, focusing on maximizing the value of current IT solutions, consolidating applications where applicable, and enhancing integration among applications.
• Reviewing and providing advice on third-party technical designs.

• Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences and business topics to technical teams.

• Ability to redesign current architecture to reduce risks related to availability and complexity.
• Experienced team leader with the capability to plan, coordinate, and manage technical teams and tasks supporting change delivery.
• Proven ability to identify risks and recommend practical solutions.
• Experience in an agile business environment, such as retail and hospitality.
• Degree educated.
