IT Technician

Our client in Bridgend, a well established and growing leader in their sector, are recruiting for an experienced IT Technician to join them on a permanent basis at their offices in Bridgend.

In this diverse role, you will support the development and deployment of IT provisions within the company, including end-users support, hardware, network, software and cyber security; and also support the delivery of IT projects.

What you'll be doing:

• Support all internal users with any IT related queries / issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Liaise with 3rd party support companies to assist in solutions when required.
• Maintain the internal helpdesk and report helpdesk KPIs.
• Contribute to supporting / creating user documentation.
• Carry out monthly IT maintenance and audits.
• Monitor and maintain patch management.
• Monitor and maintain anti-virus standards.
• Assist in obtaining and maintaining cyber security certifications.
• Assist and contribute towards key IT projects.

What we're looking for:

• Qualified to HND or preferably degree level in IT / Computer Science.
• Competent user of Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, SharePoint).
• Windows 11 experience.
• IT Helpdesk experience.
• Understanding of firewalls, networks, switches and patch-panels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Accuracy and a high level of attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.

Salary, Benefits & Hours:

• Salary will be between £26,000 - £29,000 depending on experience.
• 37 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 and Friday 08:30 - 13:30.
• 25 days holiday a year plus bank.
