Position: IT Technician
Location: Broughton Astley (LE9)
Hours: Monday to Friday – 08:30 to 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Negotiable Based on Experience
Contract Type: Permanent

Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting a highly motivated and experienced IT Technician. Our client is a well-established and forward-thinking logistics company that values professionalism, reliability, and continuous development and is looking for a proactive and experienced IT Technician who is ready to take ownership and guide technical operations across our busy, multi-site logistics environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on responsibility and wants to play a pivotal part in building our clients IT framework.

IT Technician Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular physical and maintenance checks
• Configure devices, including desktops, laptops, and virtual machines
• Log in remotely to resolve technical issues
• Maintain server and desktop operating systems
• Perform daily system health checks
• Troubleshoot and support end users with hardware, software, and network issues
• Serve as the first point of contact for desktop and telephone faults
• Complete installations and IT equipment setup/dismantling
• Monitor and maintain warehouse integration modules
• Travel between office and warehouse locations to fix and improve IT systems

IT Technician Executive Key Requirements:

• Strong aptitude for IT with solid problem-solving and time management abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with Microsoft systems, VPNs and VoIP, Wi-Fi networks, Hardware/software installation and support,
3rd party application troubleshooting.
• Freight, warehousing, or logistics IT experience is beneficial but not essential
