Joiner Carpenter

Branta is partnering with an established, fast-growing projects and building services company to appoint an experienced Mobile Commercial Joiner on a temp-to-perm basis across North London.

This role focuses on commercial refurbishments, project upgrades, and internal fit-outs across major public sector estates, NHS hospitals, healthcare centres, and secure government buildings. It offers clean, well-managed site environments, consistent project flow, and an immediate pathway to permanent staff status within an expanding contractor.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial 1st & 2nd Fix Joinery: Install internal timber/metal stud partitions, plasterboard systems, suspended ceilings, sub-flooring, skirting, architraves, and decorative wall claddings.

Fire Doors & Hardware: Fit, hang, and adjust commercial timber doors, bespoke fire door assemblies, vision panels, door closers, panic hardware, and high-security access locks.

Commercial Kitchens & Casework: Fit out staff tea points, commercial kitchens, base and wall units, solid-surface/laminate worktops, vanity units, and boxing-in of M&E pipework runs.

Project Refurbishments: Deliver planned refurbishment packages and minor structural alterations on live commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities.

*

Compliance & Security: Work in full accordance with site permits, building regulations, fire safety standards, and strict government security protocols.

Candidate Profile

*

Trade Background: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or time-served trade equivalent).

*

Delivery Experience: Proven track record delivering commercial 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, minor works, or interior refurbishments on public sector, healthcare, or corporate estates.

Core Competencies: Confident with commercial doors, architectural ironmongery, tea point/kitchen installations, panelling, and studwork.

*

Certifications: Valid CSCS Card (Blue or Gold) and Full UK Driving Licence.

*

Advantageous: FIRAS / BM TRADA fire door installation awareness and ability to pass standard DBS/security clearance checks.
