Joinery Production Technician Central Birmingham £32,711 per annum 39 hours per week | Flexible start times | Early Friday finish

A well-established and highly respected joinery manufacturer is looking for a Joinery Production Technician / Marking Out Technician to support its Birmingham production operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused individual with experience in joinery, woodworking or technical manufacturing. Working across the Joinery Department, you will ensure timber, veneered boards, cutting sheets and technical drawings are correctly checked, prepared and issued for production. Your accuracy will be essential to maintaining quality, avoiding costly errors and achieving a “Right First Time” manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret technical and manufacturing drawings. Mark out timber and veneered boards accurately to specification. Check cutting sheets against drawings and identify discrepancies before production. Prepare materials for CNC machining and joinery mill operations. Book in timber and veneer materials, maintaining accurate records. Issue materials, drawings and supporting documentation to Bench Joiners. Maintain drawing revision control and ensure current versions are used. Liaise with the Setting Out Department, Joinery Mill, Metal Shop and other internal teams. Resolve drawing, material and manufacturing queries. Support production teams with technical information. Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and health and safety. About You You will ideally have:
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Strong organisational and record-keeping skills. Good communication skills and the confidence to work across multiple departments. Competent IT skills. The ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team. Experience within joinery is advantageous, but applications are also welcomed from candidates with relevant transferable experience in woodworking, CNC machining, engineering or manufacturing.
Knowledge of timber and veneered board materials, along with experience using AutoCAD, DWG TrueView, Procore or Microsoft Excel, would be beneficial.
Hours
39 hours per week. Flexible start time of 6:30am, 7:00am or 7:30am. Monday to Thursday: eight-hour shifts. Friday: seven-hour shift. 30-minute lunch break. Early finish every Friday. Salary and Benefits
