Joint SEND Development Manager

The consultant will report monthly to High Needs Budget Monitoring meetings, work alongside the High Needs Cost Board, report to the High Needs Board, and provide termly updates to Schools Forum. Progress will also feed the quarterly DfE data returns and review meetings.

The consultant will hold no budget or placement decision authority; EHCP decisions stay within statutory SEND processes

.This role is an invest to save role - the council's high needs budget is forecast to be £8m in deficit by the end of this financial year and there are no resources committed to undertaking the works required to deliver the actions within the mitigation plan. A full business case is attached and has also been shared with HR for review a resources panel
