Creates print designs for Womenswear product area that are representative of the latest trends whilst reflecting the Joules brand in order to meet the expectations of our customers.

To support and assist the Senior Print Designer within your specific area in developing, progressing & producing profitable print ranges across all departments.

Managing aspects of the department as required by the Senior Print Designer. 

Working Pattern: This is a full time role based at ‘The Barn’ -  Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The typical hours for this role are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and this is an onsite role.

Our Location
Market Harborough in Leicestershire, is where Joules began in 1989. This market town is home to the brand’s Head Office and is full of independent shops, bars and restaurants. It also benefits from good transport links to London, making it easily accessible for visitors and commuters alike.

What You’ll Do

• Design and deliver commercial, brand-right print collections for womenswear product area, creating print boards, colour palettes, and mood research for key milestone meetings.
• Confidently present seasonal print ranges, trend proposals, and research to senior management and product teams, bringing inspirational ideas and samples to weekly design sign offs.
• Partner closely with Buying, Design, and Merchandising to build balanced ranges tailored to store gradings, sales channels, and Joules' "good, better, best" pricing tiers.
• Review weekly line performance reports alongside Buyers and Merchandisers to track seasonal key print trading, identifying missed print opportunities and growth areas to inform future ranges.
• Take accountability for colour matching, updating palettes, preparing factory-ready pitch sheets to meet tight deadlines, and ensuring print execution matches Joules' quality standards.
• Build strong supplier relationships, leveraging a deep understanding of print production techniques to drive innovation, push cost effective solutions, and explore new print finishes.
• Research macro and micro trends relevant to Joules, proactively organise inspiration trips, and summarise actionable findings to present back to the wider team.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, step up as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Senior Print Designer, and execute briefs as directed by senior leadership.
   

What You’ll Bring
To really shine within the role of a Print Designer you must be able to work flexibly and at pace with a passion for the Fashion industry and a clear understanding of lifestyle brands. However, what we value most here at Joules is your ability to really align with who we are. So, if you have….

• A Degree or HND in fashion or textiles or equivalent experience.
• Experience of producing on brand print ranges supported by senior team members. 
• Eye for colour, trends and fashion.
• Adobe Skills -  illustrator and photoshop required.
• Good technical understanding of print production and screen separation.
• Confidence in putting print into repeat tiles and pitch sheet creation.
• Awareness of the retail industry.
• Accountability to deliver within the role and drive the right results. 
• An awareness of trends and impact of potential threats and opportunities.
• Ability to manage time and work to deadlines.  
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Passion for the Joules brand and understanding of the Joules customer and their lifestyle.
• Ability to think strategically and problem solve
