Job Description - Junior Account Manager

Account Support Manager – Publishing Sector

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, standard business hours

We are pleased to be working in partnership with a distinguished publishing organisation to recruit an Account Support Manager. This is a fully remote position, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in the publishing industry and a desire to develop a career in account management.

This role is ideally suited to candidates with prior experience in account management or client services, as well as those seeking to transition into this field. The successful candidate will benefit from a supportive environment that fosters professional growth and progression into a full Account Manager role.

Primary Responsibilities as a Account Support Manager :

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Account Management team in the oversight and development of client relationships.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
  • Serve as a point of contact for client communications, addressing queries and promoting awareness of the organisation’s products and services.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of services and solutions.
  • Contribute to forecasting activities and monitor account performance against key metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using Jira and CRM systems.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and revenue growth within the existing client portfolio.
  • Lead client collaboration sessions and strategic business reviews to uncover new opportunities.
  • Develop tailored strategies that align client objectives with the organisation’s offerings.
  • Conduct regular reviews of client accounts to ensure satisfaction and contractual compliance.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach to identifying growth opportunities.
  • An interest in the publishing industry, trade associations, or intellectual property is advantageous.
