Junior Accountant

A leading specialist accounting and advisory firm focused on the music, entertainment, sports, and media industries is looking to appoint a Junior Accountant to join their growing team.

About the Role:
You will be working within the accountancy team assisting with client accounts. This includes bookkeeping, preparing VAT returns, maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, and supporting the preparation of accounts up to trial balance for Sole Traders, Limited Companies, and LLPs. Reporting to a Senior Accountant, you will also help maintain strong client relationships and provide support across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping and receipt analysis
• Preparing VAT returns
• Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers
• Assisting with account preparation up to trial balance
• Supporting bank account management and payment approvals
• Maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Collaborating with colleagues to uphold best practices

About You:

• Educated to A level equivalent or above
• Currently studying towards, or willing to start, an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA preferred but other qualifications considered)
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and a strong team player
• Able to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Positive attitude with flexibility and confidentiality
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
