Job Description - Junior Accounts Assistant

Adele Carr Recruitment are currently recruiting for a school leaver to join an ambitious and driven organisation. Our client is a rapidly expanding financial services company that provides short-term lending solutions to property developers, traders, and investors. Since 2020, they've grown significantly and now manage a loan book worth over £50m, with exciting plans for further growth.

They are now looking to add a Finance Support Executive to their team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their finance career - perhaps a school or college leaver who has begun studying AAT, or someone with some voluntary or early work experience in accounts who is looking to take the next step.

The Role

You'll be part of a supportive finance team, taking on a variety of responsibilities that will help you build a strong foundation in finance. Duties include:

Assisting with day-to-day financial operations (data entry, reconciliations, invoices, and payments)
Maintaining accurate financial records using Excel and accounting software
Supporting month-end and year-end processes
Monitoring accounts payable and receivable to ensure payments are on time
Producing ad-hoc reports and analysis for management
Liaising with suppliers and colleagues to resolve finance queries
Contributing ideas for process improvements

What We're Looking For

Someone who is comfortable with Microsoft Excel
Exposure to Xero (advantageous, but not essential)
Good numerical ability with attention to detail
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
A positive team player with the motivation to learn and grow
Previous experience in finance (voluntary, work experience, or early role) desirable but not essential
