Junior Assistant Accountant

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our financial records and supporting our finance team.

Description

• Drafting payments and reconciling both bank and nominal ledger accounts
• Monitoring client agreements and ensuring compliance with client-related deadlines
• Maintaining purchase ledger, sales ledger, and cashbooks
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, annual, and ad hoc management accounts, as well as audit files
• Drafting annual reports and calculating investor unit valuations
• Supporting the review and preparation of tax and VAT returns
• Performing other ad hoc duties as required by the company

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• Office based experience in an accounts environment
• An interest in pursuing a career in accounts
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
