Junior Buyer – Macclesfield - £27,000 - £31,000 + 4.5 day working week

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be partnering with a major precision engineering business in Macclesfield in their search of a Junior Buyer.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, eager to learn, and ready to develop their skills in a fast-paced procurement environment.

Junior Buyer Duties:

• Raise and process purchase orders in accordance with procurement procedures
• Monitor stock levels and assist with the reordering process
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier details
• Communicate with suppliers to track orders, resolve delivery issues, and ensure timely fulfilment
• Work collaboratively with internal departments (e.g. Commercial, Production, Finance) to meet procurement needs
• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and standards
• Manage the database of site contracts, identifying contract owners and ensuring timely initiation of RFQs

Hours: 8am - 5pm (Mon-Thur) 8:30am - 1pm (Fri)

Required skills & experience:

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain
• Good communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
