Job Description - Junior Buyer

SF recruitment arw working with leading manufactruing organistion in Redditch to recruit a Junior Buyer.

Start your career in procurement with a dynamic and supportive manufacturing environment. The organisation are offering an exciting opportunity for individuals in the early stages of their purchasing career to gain hands-on experience in both direct and indirect procurement, working closely with seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
- - Assist the Buyer in sourcing and procuring materials and services essential for production.
- - Support the negotiation, implementation, and maintenance of supplier agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
- - Help monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate procurement records.
- - Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement activities with production schedules and business objectives.
- - Maintain comprehensive procurement documentation, including purchase orders, supplier records, and compliance files.
- - Track deliveries, resolve any delays or issues promptly, and ensure continuity of supply.
- - Contribute to inventory control by monitoring stock levels and anticipating potential shortages.
- - Assist in the execution of strategic procurement initiatives and contribute to achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
- - Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- - Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- - Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- - Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- - Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain principles (preferred).
- - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
