Role: Junior Buyer
Location: Rochdale, Manchester
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum

Parkside Recruitment are looking for a Junior Buyer to join a busy purchasing team supporting supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–4 years’ experience in a similar role who is looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and evaluate new suppliers
Monitor market trends and pricing
Build and manage supplier relationships
Negotiate contracts and pricing
Support timely material supply for production
Collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics teams
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities

Requirements:

2–4 years’ experience in a purchasing, buying, or procurement role
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Able to read technical drawings
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar)
Willing to travel internationally if needed

Desirable:

Experience in engineering or manufacturing
Working towards or holding a CIPS qualification
