Junior Database Administrator

What you will do

• Support the monitoring and maintenance of SQL Server and Azure SQL databases
• Assist with backup and restore processes under guidance
• Respond to alerts and escalate issues appropriately
• Maintain documentation and follow security and governance standards
• Contribute to team activities and on-call support as confidence grows
• Support upgrading SQL server to new versions
• Assist with deployment activities
• Work with the agile DBA team to gain an understanding of development and contribute towards performance tuning

What you will bring

• A basic understanding of SQL Server or relational databases
• Awareness of cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure
• A genuine willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks
• Good communication skills and a team-first mindset
