Our client is a product sourcing company and supplier to retail who due to continued growth now have an excellent opportunity for a Junior Demand Planner to join their commercial team in Wigan.

The successful Demand Planner will provide robust forecasts for the brands that our client sell to their retailers/customers. You will work closely with the sales team to achieve a high level of forecast accuracy which results in awesome availability whilst keeping stock holding under control.

This is a key role within the business as you will be at the heart of the operation ensuring the best availability for the retailers/customers whilst managing the monetary stock holding.

Your duties / accountabilities will include:

• Forecasting - Working collaboratively with the sales team and retailers
• Retailer Collab meeting - Meet with retailers to support the sales team on forecasts and intake planning
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stake holders
• Achieve KPIs; Forecast Accuracy, Availability, £ Stock Holding and Aged Stock
• Retailer promotional planning
• Weekly updates on your range for senior management

The successful candidate will have:

• Excellent communications skills
• Competent on MS office (especially Excel)
• Confident, driven and wanting to drive to the next level
• Works as part of a team but also happy to use own initiative
• High level of attention to detail
• Experience within a previous demand planning role is preferred
