Junior Electronic Engineer

Redline Group have recently been engaged by a leading Engineering company based in Manchester. Due to recent project wins they are now looking to recruit a Junior Electronic Design Engineer to be part of their dynamic design team.

The culture is very collaborative where engineers work together to solve engineering related problems and find the best solutions. As such they are looking for like-minded engineers who are looking to be mentored by leading Design Engineers The company currently operated a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days onsite, 2 from home with everybody in on a Wednesday.

The company design and manufacture electronic sensors and components for the global Automation market and they are looking for a Junior Electronic Design Engineer with provable experience in the industry, combined with sound analogue design skills with some firmware development, using embedded C or C++.

Key responsibilities of the Junior Electronic Design Engineer job:

• Design and development of barriers for connection between intrinsically safe circuits and non- intrinsically safe circuits
• Circuit design, prototyping, verification and release testing
• Specification of the design components and creation of the circuit schematic in CAD
• Creation of the Intrinsic Safety and EMC Plans required to meet IS and EMC standards
• Verification testing of prototypes and review PCB layouts

Key skills required for the Electronic Design Engineer job:

• Excellent understanding of electronic/engineering principles and Analogue and Digital circuit design experience
• Knowledge of EMC and functional safety requirements
• Op-Amp Circuits, Low power/signal transformers and small signal SMPS knowledge is an advantage
• Software programming experience will be beneficial
