We are currently seeking a

Finance Business Partner

to join our Waste team, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance in Waste. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the profit and loss of a portfolio of clients/contracts by accurately and timely reporting performance to Gross Profit level. They will ensure that all revenue is recognised and reported in accordance with Group revenue recognition policy, as well as maintain ultimate responsibility for the accuracy of purchase accruals within their portfolio. Acting as the primary contact for Operational Key Account Managers, the Contract Accountant will provide valuable insight into the performance of clients/contracts, helping to drive strategic decisions and achieve financial goals.

What you will do:
The position involves managing the Profit and Loss for a portfolio of contracts/clients by conducting monthly reviews of GP performance, revenue, and costs. Responsibilities also include calculating invoice values for clients outside the OTC process, working with the Billing team to ensure timely billing, accurately managing WIP and PO's, and establishing strong relationships with KAM's to share business knowledge. Other duties include attending contract performance review calls, providing accurate management information, month-end reporting and commentary, and assisting with financial order management and covering billing requirements as needed. Support for team members is also required.

What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate for this role is a Part qualified or studying ( AAT,CIMA,ACCA or equivalent ) who has a proven ability to excel in complex financial environments. Experience using

SAP and/or CAFMs

is preferred, along with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. A high level of financial, commercial, and customer awareness is necessary, as well as the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and think proactively to identify new opportunities and innovative solutions.
