Description

• Prepare and process journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Support the accounts payable and receivable functions as required.
• Maintain and update financial records in compliance with company policies.
• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Contribute to process improvements within the accounting and finance department.

Profile

A successful Junior Financial Accountant should have:

• Ideally studying towards an accountancy qualification. (ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience with financial systems and software, such as accounting packages or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and stakeholders.
