The Opportunity

Syntech Recruitment is recruiting for a Junior Goods In Coordinator to join a well-established precision engineering business near Basingstoke.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a manufacturing environment, supporting goods-in, purchasing, stock management and general workshop operations.

No previous experience in engineering, manufacturing, stores or warehousing is required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, good telephone manner, strong IT skills and the ability to listen, follow instructions and work to established processes.

The role combines office-based administration with practical workshop duties, including communicating with customers and suppliers, ordering parts, checking deliveries and maintaining accurate stock records.

Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone from a customer service, retail, administration or similar background.

Salary & Benefits

£13.50 – £14.00 per hour depending on experience

Overtime paid at 1.3x basic hourly rate (currently unlimited)

*

Monday–Friday working pattern

*

Standard hours: 8:00am–4:30pm

*

Early Friday finish at 1:00pm when starting at 7:00am Monday–Friday

*

23 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Full training and ongoing development

Junior Goods In Coordinator Responsibilities

*

Receive and check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes

*

Book incoming goods onto internal computer systems

*

Answer telephone calls and communicate professionally with customers and suppliers

*

Contact suppliers to order parts, materials and consumables

*

Assist with raising purchase orders and processing documentation

*

Follow up on outstanding orders, deliveries and supplier enquiries

*

Maintain accurate stock records and update internal systems

*

Organise materials and assist with stock control

*

Pick, pack and prepare finished components for dispatch

*

Move materials around the workshop to support production

*

Follow established company procedures and instructions

*

Support general goods-in, purchasing and administrative activities

Junior Goods In Coordinator Requirements

*

Excellent telephone manner and confident communication skills

*

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email and data entry

*

Ability to listen carefully, follow instructions and work to established processes

*

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

*

Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn

*

Comfortable combining administrative and hands-on responsibilities

*

Previous customer service, retail or administration experience advantageous but not essential
