Junior IT Support Technician

Are you passionate about technology and eager to kickstart your career in IT support? We're looking for a motivated and skilled Junior IT Support Technician to join our client, based in Herford.

With at least 6 months experience within an IT Support role, you will be responsible for providing IT Support (windows desktop & server environment, MS Office, networking, IT peripherals) for a small but expanding team. You will also be responsible for IT admin tasks, such as adding/deleting users, adding access rights, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first-line technical support for Windows desktop and server environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
Assist in the administration of Active Directory, including user account management, group policies, and permissions.
Support and maintain email systems, ensuring smooth and secure communication across the organization.
Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in the configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and other network devices.
Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the organization’s data and systems. Assist in the regular review and update of security policies.

Your Experience:

Proficiency in Windows desktop and server environments, Active Directory, and email systems.
Basic understanding of networking principles and security practices.
Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear and concise technical support to non-technical users.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to the success of the IT department.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
