Junior Machine Technician

• Annual Salary: Up to £28,000
• Location: Hemel Hempstead
• Job Type: Full-time, rolling 12-month Fixed-Term Contract

Reed Engineering are delighted to be working with a fast growing company who are looking for someone to join their highly efficient and friendly warehouse crew as a Junior Machine Technician. They produce over 200,000 bottles of product each week and are proud of the pace, precision, and positivity that define their workspace. This hands-on role in a fast-moving environment requires attention to detail and excellent teamwork skills.

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.
• Assist in the setup, calibration, and changeover of machines as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or potential issues to the technical production manager.
• Maintain accurate logs of machine performance, issues, and maintenance activities.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure machinery is operated in a safe manner.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to meet daily production targets.
• Keep work areas clean and organised to comply with workplace safety and 5S standards.

• High school diploma or technical/vocational certificate in mechanical, electrical, or related fields.
• 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (training provided for the right candidate).
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams is a plus.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit to stand, lift, and work around machinery for extended periods.

• Competitive salary up to £28,000.
• Monday to Friday work schedule, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, with additional paid overtime during busy periods.
• 25 days' holiday pro rata, plus 8 public and bank holidays.
