Junior M&E Estimator – £40,000–£45,000

Location: Dartford, Kent
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 Days Office / 2 Days Home
Position: Permanent

The Opportunity

We're looking for an ambitious Junior Estimator to join an established building services company based in Dartford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a good understanding of mechanical and electrical building services who wants to develop a career in estimating, tendering and business development.

You'll be working on contracts valued between £10k and £400k, receiving structured training and mentoring from experienced senior management.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate estimates and pricing for M&E and building services contracts

*

Review tender documents, specifications and technical drawings

*

Obtain and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations

*

Calculate labour, materials, plant and associated costs

*

Support tender submissions and bid preparation

*

Attend site surveys and liaise with engineers and clients

*

Identify commercial risks and opportunities

What We're Looking For

*

Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building services

*

Strong Excel skills and numerical ability

*

Background or qualification in engineering, construction or building services desirable

*

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

*

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and ambition to progress
