Our client, a leading name in the automotive and defence sector, is looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Lowestoft.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual eager to gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive and technically skilled team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of vehicle mechanical systems, including chassis, powertrain, and interior components
Create and update precise 3D models and 2D technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
Perform basic engineering calculations and tolerance analyses
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (manufacturing, electrical, quality) to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
Participate in design reviews and collaborative problem-solving meetings
Support the prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company and industry standards

What We're Looking For:

Proficient in CAD software with the ability to produce high-quality 2D/3D designs
Eager to learn and develop within a structured, growth-focused environment
Strong communicator with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence and valid passport required
Team player with a keen interest in product innovation and engineering excellence
