The role would suit an engineer who understands HVAC systems and mechanical building services and is now looking to move away from being purely site-based and develop their career within project management.

The Role

As a Junior Project Manager, you’ll work closely with experienced Project Managers and the wider engineering team, supporting the successful delivery of M&E projects from planning through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting the management and delivery of M&E projects.

* Assisting with project planning, programmes and project documentation.

* Coordinating engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.

* Supporting the procurement of materials and services.

* Monitoring project progress, costs and deadlines.

* Attending client and site meetings.

* Assisting with technical queries and resolving issues on site.

* Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements.

* Ensuring works are delivered to the required quality, safety and compliance standards.

* Developing strong relationships with clients, engineers and subcontractors.

* Working alongside experienced Project Managers to develop your project management skills.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a hands-on M&E engineering background who is ready to take the next step.

You’ll ideally have:

* Previous experience working as an M&E / Mechanical Engineer.

* Strong practical knowledge of HVAC systems.

* Experience within commercial building services, facilities, construction or a similar environment.

* An understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.

* The ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

* Good communication and organisational skills.

* A proactive approach with the ability to solve problems.

* The ambition to develop into a fully-fledged M&E Project Manager.

Previous project management experience is advantageous but not essential. The key requirement is a solid engineering background, particularly within HVAC, combined with the ambition to progress into project delivery.
