Junior Proposals Engineer Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Job Scope
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in engineering and technical sales. As a Junior Proposals Engineer, you will support the preparation of accurate and detailed proposals for customers, working alongside experienced engineers who will provide training and guidance.
You'll learn how to understand customer requirements, assist with site visits, prepare quotations, and help ensure projects are handed over smoothly to the delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in gathering customer requirements for new enquiries. Support site surveys to collect project information. Work closely with colleagues and suppliers to obtain technical and commercial information. Help prepare accurate quotations and proposals. Update and maintain proposal information on internal systems. Follow up quotations and maintain regular communication with customers. Assist with the handover of successful projects to the project delivery team. Develop an understanding of water treatment products and systems through on-the-job training.Person Specification
HNC/HND, City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in an engineering or technical discipline (or working towards one). Some engineering, technical, customer service, or administration experience would be beneficial but is not essential. Keen to learn and develop within a technical engineering environment. Strong communication and organisational skills. Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. Confident using Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to travel to customer sites occasionally, with overnight stays when required. Full UK driving licence (any endorsements must be disclosed during the application process).What's on Offer
