Junior Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Newdigate, Dorking
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Our client is looking to recruit a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team based in Newdigate, Dorking. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the construction industry, working alongside experienced professionals with genuine opportunities for progression.

This role would suit a recent graduate, Assistant Quantity Surveyor, or someone with some previous experience looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and project budgets.

* Measuring quantities from drawings and specifications.

* Supporting the preparation of valuations and applications for payment.

* Assisting with subcontractor procurement and obtaining quotations.

* Helping to prepare and review subcontractor accounts.

* Monitoring project costs and reporting on expenditure.

* Supporting the preparation of final accounts.

* Maintaining accurate project records and documentation.

* Liaising with site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.

* Providing general commercial support to the Quantity Surveying team.

Requirements

* Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline, or relevant industry experience.

* Strong numerical and analytical skills.

* Good communication and organisational skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

* A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

* Full UK driving licence preferred.
