Junior Real-Time Administrator - Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK

We are delighted to advertise the role of Junior Real-Time Administrator which is part of the Real-Time Administrator team and is responsible for providing customer support by administrating the real-time data and hardware/software associated with real-time data delivery. The Real-Time Administrator objective is to oversee the flow of data through the real-time and ensure client requirements are met. All members of the real-time team are required to have up-to-date knowledge of each client set-up for both data transmission and data flow control. The Real-Time team is responsible for maintaining client data confidentiality. To avoid errors, it is essential to follow the procedures put in place to safeguard the work tasks. The Real-Time team should also continually question and review the procedures to ensure that they are accurate.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•

Understands fully that all data managed is client specific and extremely confidential.
•

Monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting of Real-time data-streams and displays.
•

Creating and documenting job setups.
•

Requesting access for users and user groups for both Real-time data and displays by contacting the Access Administration team.
•

Notifies the client when Real-time data and displays become available and when a specific job ends.
•

Notifies the client of outages that might occur during operations.
•

Maintains contact with the different contractors on the rig to ensure proper mapping and units of measurement, of all incoming Real-time data.
•

Can calculate client custom parameters by implementing calculations that use parameters we are receiving in Real-time.
•

Maintains contact with the operator companies to assure that all requirements are met and to make changes to the data-stream and or displays where required.
•

Stay abreast of the processing techniques used by Operations.
•

Follow Operations standard procedure and policy, and directions from RT Coordinator and Operations Management for the successful of overall company Real Time Services.
•

Communication with the monitoring team and with supervisor as part of regular information exchanges and escalations.
•

Access to utility servers to add / edit Power tools configuration as deemed necessary to meet the business requirements.
•

Access to Rig server for data flow management via Power tools
•

PV Applications – create / edit displays.
•

WITSML – create / edit WITSML objects.
•

Access – Add / modify access for WITSML and RT displays.
•

Job Automation running.
