Job Description - Junior Risk & Compliance Analyst

Junior Risk & Compliance Analyst – Leading UK Law Firm | Manchester | Hybrid Working

Are you a detail-driven individual with a passion for legal compliance and risk management? A prestigious UK law firm is seeking an ambitious Junior Risk & Compliance Analyst to join its growing Risk & Compliance team, based in the heart of Manchester.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in Risk & Compliance and be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of compliance requirements in a law firm.

What you’ll be doing:

Conducting procedural file reviews across all departments.
Monitoring SmartSearch alerts and liaising with fee earners.
Responding to internal risk and compliance queries.
Managing regulatory records via mySRA and overseeing practising certificate renewals.
Onboarding new legal professionals, including compliance checks and regulatory updates.
Supporting internal and external training on compliance matters.
Maintaining internal registers and assisting with data breach responses.
Preparing for key accreditations (e.g. Lexcel, CQS) and staying ahead of regulatory developments.
Working closely with client services and reviewing referral agreements.

What we’re looking for:

A law degree or equivalent legal training.
A meticulous eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
Confidence to work independently and handle a varied workload.
Previous compliance or legal experience is a bonus, but not essential.
