Junior Sheet Metal Fabricator (Permanent) - 4-day week, Fridays off

We're recruiting reliable, motivated Junior Sheet Metal Fabricators to join a large, experienced production team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who already has a solid grounding in sheet metal fabrication and now wants to build on their skills-especially progressing further into press machine set-up and operation.

Hours: Mon-Wed 07:00-17:30 & Thurs 07:00-16:30 (full-time hours over 4 days) - every Friday off

The role

You'll produce high-precision sheet metal components and sub-assemblies, working from engineering drawings and to a defined schedule.

What you'll be doing:

Set up and operate fabrication machinery (guillotines, bandsaws and presses)
Produce and assemble detailed parts for assemblies and welded assemblies
Mark out and prepare materials from drawings/templates using hand tools and basic calculations
Check work using measuring equipment to ensure it meets drawing requirements
Follow engineering drawings/lofts, procedures and work instructions
Take part in daily stand-up meetings and support continuous improvement
Work to health & safety, quality and regulatory standards, keeping your area clean and safeWhat we're looking for:

Essential:

Previous sheet metal fabrication experience and confidence using workshop machinery (e.g. guillotine/bandsaw/press)
Strong attention to detail, reliability and a quality-focused approach
Team player who can work to deadlines
Keen to develop further into press machine operationDesirable:

Aerospace or automotive manufacturing knowledge
Strong drawing/specification reading skills
Practical problem-solving and decision-makingOther information:
