Job Description - Junior Strategist (Consumer Health)

As a Junior Planner, you will apply your strong strategic knowledge and inquisitive nature to shape, inform and support your project’s strategy. You will cultivate good relationships with your clients and colleagues. You will work collaboratively with all disciplines in your team in order to feed into the briefing process of projects, playing an integral role in your agency and working with your team to develop and implement the overarching strategy, which acts as the foundation for your team’s campaign. Your knowledge and experience will be used to support the Senior Planner.

The role is full-time, permanent and hybrid with around 2 days per week in our London office at King's Cross.

Role responsibilities:

You will proactively ensure a thorough understanding of the brand, product and overarching strategy for the project you are assigned to – ensure your research is appropriate to the campaign’s direction
You will take responsibility for the shaping and delivery of the research and insights for your projects
You will proactively liaise with the relevant Account Manager to identify how research findings will be used to inform the campaign's KPIs
You will develop strong collaborative relationships with Account Handlers and Creatives on your team, in order to push the brief to its potential
You will perform competitor analysis reviewing activity, behaviour and data to identify strengths and weaknesses and make informed recommendations based on your findings that support the strategy
You will be able to effectively interpret insights to shape the strategy for a project, presenting your ideas to the Senior Planner with a clear rationale
You will grow and utilise the strategic toolkit and have a strong knowledge of various research tools in order to support any research you conduct
You will proactively ensure that the strategy is considered and adhered to throughout all stages of the project’s life cycle
You will be adaptable to working across digital projects, extensive research projects, brand development and workshops depending on the project

You will bring:

6 months to 2 years of experience as a Planner/ Strategist in an advertising agency
Experience with consumer health or FMCG brands
Confident communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Analytical thinking
Highly proficient in Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook
